Dugite Dreamweaver
We were devastated to find that a Dugite snake had become entangled and subsequently died in one of our fruit tree nets. This artwork was created in honour of this snake, and all our native creatures who come to an untimely end at the hands of humans, by either deliberate or inadvertent means. Snake vertebrae stiched and skin woven, flax fibre twined and woven with emu feathers, lichen, wool, palm inflorescence and raffia. Seeds and bones stitched.
